New registrations/upgrades/changes

Online registration is now closed. You can register on Sunday morning at the registration marquee at Glasgow Green. Please arrive at least an hour before you intend to set off, remembering that the last start time for the Classic Challenge is 9am. The last start time for the Big Belter is 7am sharp.  Please note transport is now sold out for the way back.

Lost/replacement packs

If you haven’t received your pack by Saturday 7 September, please come to the registration marquee at Glasgow Green on Sunday with your proof of purchase. Please arrive at least an hour before you intend to set-off, remembering that the last start time for the Classic Challenge is 9am, so you make sure you arrive by 8am. The last start time for the Big Belter is 7am sharp.

Transport bookings

All event transport is now sold out. There may be some people who don’t use their place so there could be a few spaces on the transport back from Edinburgh to Glasgow in the afternoon. This can’t be booked in advance – please visit the Event Transport Hub at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh to check. If you have purchased in advance but not received your transport wristband, please come and see us at the Event Transport Hub with your proof of purchase.

T-shirts

For all t-shirt related enquiries please come to the Information Point at the Royal Highland Centre Finish Line, including if your t-shirt has not been posted to you. Please bring proof of purchase.  T-shirts will be on sale there but please note, the majority of t-shirts have sold online so stock is extremely limited.

Baggage transfer

This has now closed, but there may be some capacity on the day. Please come and see us at Glasgow Green to purchase, or to collect your wristband if this has not been provided in advance. Please bring proof of purchase.

Trams

Tram tickets are now sold out. If you have purchased in advance but not received your wristband, please bring proof of purchase to Haymarket Station and then come to the Event Transport Hub at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh to get your wristband for the return journey.

Choosing to start earlier

If you wish to start earlier than your allocated time, that should be fine, subject to numbers of participants at any particular time. We can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to start later than your allocated time.  

Getting to the start line

Please note event transport is sold out to travel from Edinburgh to Glasgow in the morning. Parking charges now apply on a Sunday, including around Glasgow Green. You can check timetable information at www.scotrail.co.uk, remembering that the last start time for the Classic Challenge is 9am

Getting home from Edinburgh to Glasgow / central belt

All event transport is now sold out, including trams to Haymarket. There may be some people who don’t use their place so there could be a few spaces on the bus back from Edinburgh. This can’t be booked in advance – please visit the Event Transport Hub at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh to check. Otherwise, please make alternative plans, checking the Scotrail website for engineering works, including on the Borders Railway, and any limits on bikes on trains.

Urgent enquiries

We would really appreciate if you read the information above and only contact the events team for anything urgent that is unanswered.

For urgent resident/business access requests on Sunday 8 September, please dial 01413700466. This number will be covered until 5pm on Friday, 10am-3pm Saturday and on Sunday from 6am until the event finishes.

For urgent enquiries from participants, please use Event Control number 01772447979. This number will be covered until 5pm on Friday, intermittently on Saturday between 10am-3pm and on Sunday from 6am until the event finishes.
