Pedal Highland Perthshire

Pedal Highland Perthshire is a fun, welcoming, free-to-enter cycling event for people new to cycling and families. It takes place on Saturday, 2 October 2021.

Is this ride for me?

If you’re looking for a welcoming, safe and fun cycling environment, this event is for you!

Pedal Highland Perthshire will be held over a variety of on and off-road tracks in the beautiful grounds of Blair Castle. The event will be waymarked and marshalled, making it perfect for all levels of riders, including families.

The event will be held subject to local public health guidance and protocols.

Why should I take part?

This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the historic grounds of Blair Castle with friends and family. After enjoying the ride, you can enjoy a picnic in the grounds or make use of Tullibardine, the on-site restaurant.

What do I need?

Just your bike and your sense of fun!

If you don’t have a bike, a limited number of bikes will be available to support riders and families.

How much does it cost?

Nothing! Pedal for Scotland events are free to enter! You will need to register for the event to take part.

Where does the route go?

It is set in the grounds of the stunning Blair Castle in Blair Atholl, home to the Atholl Highlanders. The cycle route is all within the magnificent Atholl Estate grounds and takes in estate tracks, quiet single-track roads and eventing fields. Along the way you might spot farm animals, squirrels and red deer.

Most of the route is flat beside one hill on a quiet tarmac road, all achievable for a complete beginner. You are welcome to ride the route more than once and when you are done you can relax with a cuppa in the castle's own Tullibardine restaurant.
