Pedal Ayr

Pedal for Scotland

In 2023, Cycling Scotland supported Event Scotland to fund Community Cycling events in the build up to the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.

The Community Cycling Fund supported 24 cycling events across 19 local authority areas. Our funding contributed to the delivery of seven of these events which, in line with Pedal for Scotland aims, were non-competitive and encouraged and inspire people to cycle in a fun and safe environment in communities across Scotland.

The seven events included:

  • Family Cycling Fun Day @ the Circuit, Irvine - North Ayrshire Council
  • Strathclyde Country Park Cycle-Fest - North Lanarkshire Council
  • Pedal in the Park - Falkirk Council
  • Women on Wheels - Women on Wheels (Glasgow City Council)
  • Power Of The Bike Day - Hillside Outside Ltd (Scottish Borders Council)
  • CamGlen Cycling Festivals - Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust (South Lanarkshire Council)
  • ACSR Bike Extravaganza - Auchterarder Community Sport & Recreation (Perth and Kinross)
