Cycling Friendly Employer
Help your staff to choose a healthy, sustainable and accessible way to commute.
Our nationally recognised programme provides an award scheme to help organisations make it easier for their staff to cycle to work and at work.
Cycling supports good physical and mental health for staff as well as eases congestion, improves the local environment and enhances corporate social responsibility by reducing the carbon footprint.
Please note there is currently no Cycling Friendly national grant funding available in 2024-25.

Our nationally recognised award provides a framework, resources and one-to-one support to increase staff cycle rates, and rewards those organisations working hard to encourage workplace cycling. Assessors from accredited Cycling Friendly centres across Scotland will support you through the process.
Working towards Cycling Friendly Employer status will support criteria of the Walk at Work Award.
From small employers to large organisations employing over 250 people, workplaces across Scotland have worked hard to achieve the Cycling Friendly award. Employers in the public, private and third sectors, including NHS Scotland health boards and councils, have been accredited with the award.
