Cycling Champion awards

The national Cycling Champion of the Year Awards 2022 are awarded in partnership with Cycling UK, Scottish Cycling and Sustrans Scotland.

Winners will be announced in October 2022 at the Cycling Scotland conference.

The awards recognise the individuals and organisations that have contributed significantly to cycling at a local or national level in the last year.

They are jointly presented by Cycling Scotland, Cycling UK, Scottish Cycling and Sustrans Scotland. A panel representing the four partners will select the winners.

Local community representatives, businesses and politicians were recognised for their commitment and drive to enable more people to cycle against the challenges of Covid-19.

Three inspiring individuals and a cycle shop were recognised as Cycling Champions for their efforts to promote cycling in Scotland.

The 2018 Cycling Champion of the Year Awards were presented to a cycling advocate in Inverness and a young volunteer in Fife.

The inaugural Cycling Champion of the Year award was presented to a tireless campaigner from Dumfries.
