Cycling strategy

Our role includes acting as the Secretariat for the Cycling Delivery Forum and reviewing the significant progress being made getting more people cycling. We led on specific actions within the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland (CAPS) and an independent review of CAPS, funded by Transport Scotland and commissioned by Cycling Scotland, was announced in June 2019 and submitted to Transport Scotland in February 2020.

Currently under consultation is the new Cycling Framework and Delivery Plan for Active Travel.

We also work to support delivery of the Scottish Government’s Long-Term Vision for Active Travel in Scotland and the Active Travel Framework.
