'Pedal Falkirk' event for beginners and families coming in October

30 August 2021

The beginner-friendly cycling event will be held on Sunday 3 October, on a route that will take in the stunning Kelpie statues.

Visit www.pedal.scot for registration details.

Cycling Scotland is pleased to announce Pedal Falkirk, will take place on 3 October 2021.

Pedal for Scotland events are free to enter, inclusive and non-competitive cycling events. Pedal Falkirk is among the first Pedal for Scotland events to be held since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will be held subject to local public health guidance and protocols at the time.

The Pedal Falkirk event will follow a 7.5-mile traffic free route starting and finishing at the Helix Park in Falkirk and passing the iconic Kelpies statues. The event will take in two loops of the route and will be signposted and marshalled throughout.

The event will provide a welcoming, safe and fun environment for people new to cycling and families with younger children.

In addition to the Pedal for Scotland events, Cycling Scotland has helped fund nine new cycling events across Scotland.

In 2020, Cycling Scotland evolved Pedal for Scotland from the annual 45-mile fundraising event between Glasgow and Edinburgh into a series of beginner-friendly events across Scotland.

More information about the 2021 Pedal for Scotland events, including registration details for Pedal Falkirk can be found at www.pedal.scot.
